Plant Mode

The following features have been added to the Plant foundation mode in STAAD Foundation Advanced v7.

Vertical Vessel Foundations

  • US Design code (ACI 318) editions can now be specified for vertical vessels on octagonal and square footings on soil.
  • The ability to specify load combination numbers has been added to the Vertical Vessel foundation wizard.
  • Pile cap design is now supported for the Indian code (both square and octagonal shaped pile caps).

Heat Exchanger/Horizontal Vessel Foundations

  • US Design code (ACI 318) editions can now be specified for heat exchangers on octagonal and square footings on soil.
  • The ability to specify load combination numbers has been added to the Heat Exchanger foundation wizard.
  • Pedestal design has been updated for the horizontal vessel module. The minimum and maximum bar size can also now be specified for pedestals design.
  • The logic used in load distribution has been revised.

Tank Foundations

  • The ability to select a mechanically anchored foundation is available for the Tank Ring foundation wizard.
  • The ability to specify load combination numbers has been added to the Tank Ring foundation wizard.
  • The calculation sheet has been enhanced.
